Four hands-on cooking lessons. Long lunches around the family table. A wine tasting at a local vineyard, a morning in Barga's market, and evenings with a glass of something excellent on the veranda. All with the Apuan Alps behind you and no agenda beyond enjoying it.
I have been cooking, teaching, and welcoming guests here for nearly forty years. There is no rushing, no rigid schedule, and no bus tour in sight.

Rita Lucherini grew up spending childhood summers at her grandparents' farm in Barga, learning traditional Garfagnana recipes at her Nonna's side. She moved permanently to Barga in 1986, ran La Mezzaluna restaurant for 28 years, and now shares those same recipes — many largely forgotten even in modern Italy — with small groups of guests at Residence La Mezzaluna.
She has been cooking, teaching, and welcoming people around her table for nearly four decades. You're in safe hands.
